Being lazy... DHCP problem

As it’s almost time to go home (and for once i can go home at the normal time) i’ll try being lazy and see if i get a lucky answer overnight

I’m trying to insert a check_dhcp service… (obviously after a catastrophic DHCP failure  when else… )

problem is as the nagios user i get:
Could not bind to DHCP socket (port 68)! Check your privileges…

this is running on Solaris8 on Sun hardware…

does any body know how to permit the nagios user access to the DHCP socket? (as root the check_dhcp command works)

Thanks all

ok. sudo didn’t want to work… solved suid’ng check_dhcp.
