I like to have some expert opinions as to which Rule Engine to use with Nagios to implement Recovery Procedures for particular processes within a Network.
Actually I am trying to automate Recovery mechanisms when some service failure encounter by Nagios.
NodeBrain and SEC (Simple Event Correlator) are two open-source engines I found and SEC seems to me more flexible and easy to manage then NodeBrain. Long ago, there were some initiatives taken to integrate Nagios with RuleCore. I checked RuleCore website but couldnot find anything about it. is it done? if yes, please provide me the link.
but if you guys are familiar with any other Rule Engine which can provide better adaptability, better integration with Nagios and packed with nice features then please let me know.
PS: i tried to search for related posts in the forums’ archive but unfortunately couldnot find any of it.
