OK I’ve got nagios up and running and configured using the standard cfgs. I have run into one problem, check_http.
Whenever I enable it I get the “CONFIG ERROR!” on restart or check_configuration which begs my first question. Where is a log that tells what is wrong with the config?
My second question is this. I can use check_http at the command line: check_http -I
When I add it to my windows.cfg (the server is an IIS box so out of laziness…) I get the error.

my commands.cfg shows:

‘check_http’ command definition

define command{
command_name check_http
command_line $USER1$/check_http -I $HOSTADDRESS$ $ARG1$
my windows.cfg
define service{
use generic-service
host_name FloI
service_description HTTP
check_command check_http!
Yes I do have the server configured as a windows server.
What am I messing up here please. I’ve been perusing the web for 3 days trying to find an answer, all I can find is that yes I’m running the command right from the prompt, which is not helping at all on the website. :wink:
Thanks in advance

Never mind, since I placed the IP of host FloI in the host description I don’t really need to specify it again. Please forgive the really dumb question and I hope anyone else looking for the answer will thank me though, and feel as equally inadequate.
