In Nagios, we add the command for load average like check_load -w 10,9,8 -c 11,12,15,
so here am having a question, how should we choose the value for warning and critical, how we should to come to conclusion that we can take any values for check_load performance.
Please can anybody clarify me!!! any help will be really appreciated…
The unix load is not something like CPU usage in a % like you may be use to.
It’s kinda hard to explain “load” so google for it, and surely you can find a great deal of information.
To get an idea of what kinda load you are looking at, just run the uptime command and look at the output in different situations(different loads). Set your warnings and critical to intelligent values. Yours right now are much to high.
