Hi All,

I have downloaded the check_snmp_printer.sh shell script and located it in the /usr/local/nagios/libexec folder. I’ve enabled executable permissions and changes the owner to the ‘nagios’ user.

Whenever I try to run it from the command line, it returns:

./check_snmp_printer.sh: 153: Syntax error: “(” unexpected

Any ideas or guidance on how to get this module working?

Hi All,

Speaking to one of my friends who is a software developer, he suggested that this script was written for a different version of linux using a different interpreter.

Any ideas what interpreter it was written for? We’ve tried CSH as well as whatever came default with Ubuntu Server 8.04 LTS.
