I am trying to configure Nagios so that it monitors the age of a file on a remote Windows Server (this is so that I can check that SSB is running on the server and over-writing the existing file). I have tried to use check_nrpe with the checkfile that is part of NSClient++, but that always reports that the file is less than 3 days old, even if it configure it to use a file that does not exist!!
Does anybody have any ideas how I can monitor the age of the remote file or how to monitor a scheduled task on the remote server? Any ideas will be greatly appreciated
