Hi

Iam new to nagios. iam getting the below error often.

%description=‘CRITICAL - Plugin timed out after 10 seconds’

this is related to check_DNS plugin. i have checked all the possibilities . even there is no network issue among my nagios server , DNS server , client . but still the server is giving this alert . but it is not continuous. some times is giving the OK result ( able to find the Internet address in dns ) , some times it is not able to check this.

Please help me. could any one tell me what are all the possibilties . how can i fix this.

try running the plugin from command line as user Nagios.
