How can i change the email id of nagios which is sending to everyone if any service is down (i.e) nagios@servername. how do i change it from nagios to someother name
Change the Full Name field for Nagios in /etc/passwd.
Since the Nagios server is running as user Nagios, this is the quickest way I can think to do it. I expect someone with more built in knowhow than I could change the host-notify-by-email and service-notify-by-email commands. But my way works as well.
