Etc file missing in /usr/local/nagios

Hi ,

Since, I have heard a lot about nagios, i started working on it for our n/w.

While following the steps mentioned, It says it should have 5 folders under /usr/local/nagios, but the etc file in the location /usr/local/nagios is missing.

Anybody Please advice what to be done .

are you compiling nagios or using an RPM install?

/usr/local/nagios/etc is created when you run
make install-config

That should have been displayed to you after you ran the make install.
