Hi all,
I want to set up a home server on which I will install several VMs. The main OS will be Debian GNU/Linux (as I know it the most), and I am planning to install other unix flavors (Linux, BSDs, OpenSolaris).
I am also planning to use this computer as a file server (2x1 TB HDs in RAID 1). I am leaning in favor of having an OpenSolaris guest being used as the file server. Do you think it makes sens using a KVM guest as file server, or would it be a lot more reliable/efficient having file serving being handled by the server itself (outside of a VM).
