I was wondering if it was possible to change the subject line of the host down alert.
From: Host DOWN alert for !
To: Alert 1234 Host DOWN alert for !
default nagios config sets the subject with variable %b, if I’m correct. You could probably replace it with your own text and variables. Just look at how the rest of the email is defined.
