Host Status Page - PENDING

Hi guys!!
I have been learning how to use Nagios, I love it!
I am just having a problem that I don’t know how to solve.
I entered a host with its respective IP address, etc and decided to monitor PING and SMTP.
After I apply the changes I go into the Nagios Web interface and go into Host Detail.
In there, I see that my host is listed, with a status of PENDING. If I click on the light, it shows me that both PING and SMTP are OK in bright green.
Now, why doesn’t it shows me a green OK on the main HOST DETAIL page?
Is there something else I need to add to the host configuration?

Hosts and services are different. While your Ping service that you set up may have run and returned successfully, the host check hasn’t been performed yet. According to your graphic, the Host checks weren’t scheduled to be run until 19:23:xx on November 11th. If that time period passed it should have either returned an up or down status. If that’s the case, then we’d have more of an issue.
