Hi gurus,
I want to monitor a set of servers on my VPN, with nagios 2.X, but i don’t see a host.cfg file in /usr/local/nagios/etc directory.
Do i have to define hosts to monitor in the bigger.cfg file in the same directory?
or i have to create a host.cfg file and define hosts like in the older releases of Nagios?

In nagios 2.x they came up with an idea of replacing the 12 or so .cfg files with one single file named bigger.cfg or minimal.cfg. Please read the sticky above about 2.x doc problems, and you will get an idea of what is needed.
I prefer to have 12 or so seperate files and I’d suggest you do the same.
