I want to configure sms notification

Hi,

I want to configure sms notification for my new nagios server.
I have very little concept about it. The nagios server is kept at Datacenter and we do not have modem associated with that server, so my query is, how can I setup sms notification without any modem installed on the server.

Hi,

There are Linux utilities that will let you use an USB-connected Cellphone as a GSM/SMS modem.

Your Cellphone operator probably also has some kind of service that will forward received e-mails as SMS messages.

You dont even need a modem or phone you can just use the internet. I used ##########@message.alltel.com where ########## is my phone number the nagios server sends a message to the email just like any other only you will receive it on your phone.

to find out what your email would be, send a message to your email address from your phone and that will be the email of your phone
