i a looking to move from nagios 1.2 to nagios 2. I want to use this opportunity to upgrade the os on my servers as well so i am going to be doing fresh installs. my question is: is it possible to migrate all the old legacy data (logs etc…) to the new installation?
any advice would be great,…

In the thread above, I upgraded as you wish to. On the way, I documented little things that might come up. Worth reading I suppose.
I didn’t actually attempt to use the old var/archives/nagios-xxx.log files though. So, just perform your upgrade as you wish, and then copy in the old log files and see if nagios can read them.
