Limit nagios warnings?

I am trying to figure out if there is a way to limit the number of warnings that Nagios sends out. For example I have Nagios set to send out a warning once one of my server’s hard drives reaches 85% full and Nagios continues to send out those warnings until you clear some space or disable the notification.

Is there a way to limit the number of warnings to say 5 or some number that Nagios would send out?

possibly an escalation could work (having the escalated email go to /dev/null) but id’ rather put the notification interval to one day or something like that… OR you aknowledge the warning, which is what you should do.
