I have a bunch of computer rooms, where I’ve defined members.
It would be great if these groups also could be made as member of a larger group.
Example:
Room 1 members: computer1, computer2, computer3 etc
Then I would like Room1 to be a member of Windows-Clients.
Well, I can only think of one way to test that, so why not go ahead and try entering “Room1” in the members value of your hostgroup definition, along with any other groups you’d like. Then run a config verification test of Nagios. If it errors back that it can’t find “Room1”, then it’s either not possible or it’s the wrong way to go about it.
I have of course tried that. Well i’ll get contact the devs and see if they can fix it for us.
