Nagios and rrdtools or mrtg

Evening all
I have Nagios up and running but I want to use mrtg to monitor the usage on our network. Can it be integrated into Nagios? Alternatively use rrdtools since mrtg will only allow you to poll every 5 mins and I need it quicker. Anyone done this cos im not finding much on the web.

Are you looking to graph your nagios or alert from your graphs? You can use nagiostats to graph nagios.
