Nagios NSCA links broken

Hello,

I was not able to find this by searching through the forum, but it seems like this would happen to more people.

I have a remote system running check_http requests using the urlize function to convert to a ahref link…it sends the check results via submit_check_results_via_nsca a simple script that uses the printf command to format the strings. It shows in the nagios.log that it sent it properly with control characters intact. Once it hits the main Nagios server to be displayed…the url is broken, because the nsca daemon strips out the literal < and > symbols as well as any ampersand & symbols in the url… I cannot figure out an easy way to escape the url string so that it will be interpreted proplery and display a working link on my my server…

Anyone come across this issue before?

Thanks in advance,

Eric
