Nagios Scheduler not working with Ironport Appliances

Hello,

I currently am running Nagios 3.03 on my production Nagios server and I am monitoring around 200 Linux and Windows systems, Network Appliance files, load balancers, etc, without incidence with the Nagios scheduler. However, I have a number of email appliances, Ironport devices, that I monitor that the check_snmp checks just simply won’t be run by the Nagios scheduler. I can successfully run the SNMP checks against the Ironport appliances manually from the Nagios Web interface, but the Nagios scheduler will not run them itself. I have looked at the Nagios log files and don’t see anything there that would give me a clue as to why Nagios is not running these checks. The checks are typically using the Nagios provided check_snmp plugin with arguments from the vendors’ SNMP OIDS. Does anyone have any clue as to what might be going on here?

I know the Nagios scheduler works in general because of all the other successfully scheduled checks on other systems. I also know that I can run the checks in real time from the Nagios Web interface so I believe that the OID’s are good and the Nagios server has no connectivity issues with these Ironport appliances. I just cannot get the checks to run from the Nagios scheduler. I appreciate any help you folks may have to offer on this problem.

An amount of email appliances, Ironport devices, that I adviser that the check_snmp checks just artlessly will not be run by the Nagios scheduler.know the Nagios scheduler works in accepted because of all the added auspiciously appointed checks on added systems.
