Nagios Server Requirements

Hello all,

I am going to implement a distributed monitoring architecture in a very large environment, and I was wondering if anyone in here could give me some advice of what type of Server should be used for the distributed/centralized Server(s).

Eg:

Number of CPUs & Speed.
RAM
Disk Space
