Nagios supported protocols

Hey there,

First of all I have to say I’m a complete newbie on Nagios. I have to make a large work which involves Nagios and there’s something I need to make clear.

My question is: which protocols can Nagios collect and analize? I guess SNMP won’t be a problem, but I’d like to know if it can also work with RMON, SFLOW and NETFLOW. If routers/switches send information using these protocols, will Nagios be able to treat and analize them?

sflow and netflow do different things than what nagios is for… nagios is used to know if your services and servers are available, it is a completely different thing.
