Have installed NDOutils 1.4b9 with existing Nagios3.2.0 and plugins1.4.14. Everything seems to have installed ok, didnt see any errors.
Set the ndo2db.cfg with the correct MYSql database settings for the DB that was set up. Left every thing else as per default in ndo2db.cfg and ndomod.cfg didnt want to mess about to much with the settup.
/usr/local/nagios/bin/ndo2db-3x -c /usr/local/nagios/etc/ndo2db.cfg is running according to running process’s as nagios.
But keep getting this entry in the Nagios log, so the database is not being populated:
[02-18-2010 10:35:25] ndomod: Still unable to connect to data sink. 320379 items lost, 5000 queued items to flush.
In /var/local/nagios/var/ndo.sock it does state:
cannot open "ndo.sock"
No such device or address (6)
Running on Ubuntu9.10 server with all prerequists installed, Nagios is running fine and have set the configuration via nconf
Any one suggest why nagios data isnt being sent to the DB?
More info, just restarted Nagios and this is the log entry:
