Newbie require step help

Hello all,

we are currently running Hobbit for monitoring our mixed systems. I am very impressed by nagios that my friend has implemented. just a few queries: i am running REDHAT 5 enterprise, wondering if nagios is supported in such system or not ? are there any documents for REDHAT or those 15minutes guidelines will be enough to run this system?

The fedora core quickstart guide worked on redhat4, it should also work for 5.

Thanks for you quick reply. I am almost done with Nagios, however if i browse localhost/nagios it prompt username and password in which i supply the one i created, it says “You don’t have permission to access /nagios/ on this server.” what should i do to resolve this. This might be very minor issue!!
