I’m current using check_snmp to monitor many switches including their ports. However, Nagios is interpreting a down port as a critical problem.
This is not a critical problem, but what is critical for us is when a port goes from up to down or from down to up. It’s the change of status that we are concerned about.
Is there a way to configure Nagios to notify on the change of status instead of only a port going down?
