NRPE installed - isn't listening to port 5666

Hi,

Installed NRPE. Set up the default things such as nagios/nagios for group and user, port 5666 to listen on. Yet When I do a nmap localhost, port 5666 isn’t running.

Nrpe is running, With all the normal options. How compatable is nrpe with 64 bit systems? Or what can I check or do to get this to work.

./check_nrpe -H 127.0.0.1 -c check_users
Connection refused by host
