NRPE Issue

Hi Forum,

I am having very strange issue. Haven’t faced this type of problem before. I am running Nagios on Ubuntu and NRPE on Solaris hosts.

Problem is in Nagios status doesn’t change either services are down on Solaris.

**on Solaris **

command[check_remote]=/usr/local/sys/nrpe/libexec/check_tcp -p 1250

Nagios Server on Linux

root@cuba:/usr/local/nagios/libexec# ./check_nrpe -H asqstage -c check_remote
Connection refused

But somehow Nagios still show status “OK” for this, I can’t understand why is like this?

check Remote Trace OK 11-18-2008 12:26:42 0d 1h 42m 18s 1/3 Connection refused

Is any one can help me to sort out this ?

Note: compiled NRPE on different host and this host got no issue, I am using compiled nrpe on this host. Is this issue?

Ok Guys I am very near. It seems solaris 10 zones have some issues. Has anyone installed nrpe on zones? I can use compiled nrpe on global zone without any problem but when i use same compiled NRPE on zones, nrpe doesnt pass the proper parrameter to the nagios and all critical services/hosts appear status OK in nagios
