Running Nagios now 
I have a remote machine that I am currently monitoring.
I want to see if anyone knows of a plugin/tool that exists to check to see if a particular service is running on a remote machine, AND/OR to see if more than one instance is running.
We have Tomcat running on a web server, occasionally 2 instances of Tomcat start and that brings the server down. I want Nagios to tell me that there are 2 instances of Tomcat before the web server tells me by freezing up.
Anybody?
