We did this another way - mobile provider gives you an email address which they forward to SMS. You set up a new contactgroup for SMS and get it to mail the address from the mobile provider whenever the required host/service generates an alert.
Upside is that it is really easy to set up. Downside is that the provider will probably charge you per SMS so if your SMS group gets a flurry of alerts then things can quickly get expensive. Personally I just SMS for host down alerts for critical boxes.
