Problem with notification_interval

We are running Nagios 3.2.0 and are trying to get notification_interval to work with services, for hosts it works. On services nagios seems to ignore the notification_interval and sends an notification on each check, which is not requested. I have tried both using 0 on interval to only get the first notice and also 120 to get notifcation every 120 minutes, it stills sends it each time the check is performed. My definition for the service looks like this:

define service {
host_name testar
service_description Testar
check_command check_nt!SERVICESTATE!-d SHOWALL -l Alerter
is_volatile 1
max_check_attempts 3
check_interval 10
retry_interval 2
check_period 24x7
check_freshness 1
freshness_threshold 0
low_flap_threshold 0
high_flap_threshold 0
notification_interval 0
notification_period 24x7
notification_options w,u,r,c
notifications_enabled 1
contacts administrator
register 1

I can´t realy find where im doing wrong in the config, is there anyone that can see the problem or know if this is a known bug?

Why are you using “is_volatile” set to 1?

check the docs about what you are obtaining with that.

and if you have the time have a look at reconfiguring the check_command… recently there’s been a copule of threads on the same subject
