is it possible to monitor base station controller (BSC) and Base transceiver stations (BTS) with Nagios software? can nagios also monitor mobile data equipment e.g. Ericsson equipment. i am kindly requesting for detailed answer if anyone has any.

nagios can do many things… if theres SNMP access it can be monitored with one plugin, if it has a telnet console it can be monitored too with another kind of plugin…
If your question is “can it monitor my very particular equipment out of the box?” the answer is “no”.
