Receiving Snmp traps

#1

Hi,
My box is Redhat EL 4
I have a standalone Nagios 2.9. And SNMPTT installed on same system.
I wanna receive very simple snmp trap such as:
I have snmp trapshown below,taken from snmptt.log:
[blockquote]Sat Sep 22 18:58:44 2007 .1.3.6.1.4.1.5528.100.10.2.8.0.110 Normal “Status Events” 10.32.1.101 - No Motion Detected Normal
[/blockquote]
And I have a service:
[blockquote]
define service {
host_name pinnetbotz
service_description TRAP
is_volatile 1
check_command check-host-alive
max_check_attempts 1
normal_check_interval 1
retry_check_interval 1
active_checks_enabled 0
passive_checks_enabled 1
check_period 24x7
notification_interval 31536000
notification_period 24x7
notification_options w,u,c
notifications_enabled 1
contact_groups env-admins
}
[/blockquote]
and I have /usr/local/nagios/libexec/eventhandlers/submit_check_result script copied from nagios 2.9 tarball

I wanna see that trap, shown above, in nagios.
I read nagios documentation but I’m confused.
Can anybody tell me step by step what should I do?
Thank for all

Hi again,
I solved the problem. There is a permission issue.
