Relaying checks through NSCA to Nagios server

Hi, i’ve tried to search both google and forums and have not found anything about this. Perhaps looking for the wrong stuff. But here goes,

I have a couple of hosts i want to monitor with passive checks. I only have connection to one machine at this remote site through openVPN and would like to relay all checks through that machine. I thought NSCA would be the obvious choice here but after looking around maybe not.

What i would like to accomplish is host -> server with openVPN -> Nagios

Maybe there is a solution that i’ve totally missed, but any input is very welcome.

create a scond nagios server and have the results sent back to the main server. using passive checks you’ll find all services in the main nagios console.
