I’ve successfully configured NagiosXI to read SNMP Traps using the documentation here http://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nagiosxi/docs/Integrating_SNMP_Traps_With_XI.pdf and the SNMP Configuration Trap Wizard.
I’m successfully recieving SNMP Traps from my devices works but I’m trying figure out if its possible so alerts are only sent if the system is in a warning/critical state for x time (i.e. soft state) instead of generating a HARD Critical/Warning straight away. Since SNMP Traps don’t seem to use active or passive checks, there doesn’t seem to be a way to run a reoccuring check.
Does anyone know a way of doing this?
