I’ve Migrated my instance from a rpm install to a custom compiled install so i could have the Folder structure i wanted…
I finally got all my services working liek they should, However on the “Host Status Details For All Host Groups” screen only one host shows up.
Also I had some issues earlier where when i restarted nagios all my checks went back to default (as if they’ve never been ran before)
Anyone have any ideas as to where i can start my search?

I think i’ve fixed my problems…
Firstly… CHECK and double check you’re referencing the right retention.dat in nagios.cfg :x
As far as the hosts… I have NO IDEA… but they just started showing up …

try stopping Nagios, run “ps -ef | grep nagios”, kill ay survivors, start nagios.
if this fixes your problem never ever use nagios restart again 
(use reload or better stop-start)
