I successfully installed Proxmox VE 1.1 on HP ProLiant ML350 G5 server. With the server came the licence of MS Win2003 Standard ROK (HP brended OEM licence). When i try to install that OS (MS Win2003 Standard ROK) i get an error: "This system is not supported platform."
Searching on the internet i fond this info: h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/Te … R1002_USEN
They are talking about passing BIOS informations to the operating system running in the virtual machine and they explained how to do that in VMware environment ( adding this line SMBIOS.reflectHost=TRUE to the configuration file of the virtual machine).
Is there some similar workaround in KVM virtualization too?
P.S. I run other (linux and windows) KVM virtual machines without problems.
