Happy New year all
I am new to Nagios and am looking for some assistance configuring cgi-bin ! I see bansheekar has a problem in cgi-bin but looks different to mine so I’ll open another post here.
Platform is OpenSolaris, nagios 3.2.0, apache 2.2
Can get the Nagios Hompage up, and am challenged for a .htpasswd authorized user; supply password and that seems ok. Problem is when I
go to localhost/nagios/cgi-bin/ and get this 403 error

you do not have permission to access /nagios/cgi-bin/ on this server.
Apache error_log
…attempt to invoke directory as a script: /usr/nagios/sbin/
Another thing I noticed is that while I think I have successfully logged in as ‘admin’; the Current Network Status screen says “logged in as ?”
Greatly appreciate any help and guidance out there.
