A good web interface configuration tool

#1

Hello,
I was wondering if anyone here is using a web based configuration tool to modify nagios’ configurations. any recommendations?

I’ve installed and used one. It was more complex and difficult to use that vi is. For example, in vi I just 8yy and p and now I have a new entry. All I need to change is the hostname, or whatever. In the web interface, I have to add all that other junk by hand. Way too much typing if you ask me and not worth the effort.

Agreed, the best one i used was Monarch. But it’s easier to use vi. Also all the configuration tools seem to split out every single check into a database and not use inheritance. Which i love!

You may want to check out NagiosQL 2005.
