Alerts that stray into non-monitored time period

hi,
we have some sites that we don’t monitor over the weekend because no people are there anyway. Other sites run 24x7, so we have on call people monitor nagios over the weekend for those. A few times, we’ve gotten an alert just before we stop monitoring a site for the weekend. Then the alert stays in nagios the whole weekend even if the issue is fixed. This has gotten me in hot water. Is there any way to have nagios only check to see if stuff came back up during a timeperiod when it’s not monitored?

Are you using check period or notify period? I have been using notify period and I dont have this problem. (I think)
I can imaging using check period will give this result.

EDIT: In addition I have started to work with escalations now to get the exact behavior I want.
