Availability doesn't work

Hi,

I am a newbie to Nagios, I have it running on Novell’s Open Enterprise Server.
Everything seems to work (finally), the only thing is that availability doesn’t work. If I choose the availabilty tab and then choose hosts the “Time Undetermined” is 100% and up and downtime is 0%.
What could be the problem?

Look for a box label “First Assumed State” and change that to “Host Up”. I can understand why they might have used “Undetermined” as a default, but the report is pretty well useless with it set to that.

With “Undetermined”, Nagios would only consider a host “up” if it had a state change to that. Since most of your hosts started out being up, and are still up, the status is still “undetermined”.
