Backup of KVM virtual machines

Hi all,

I have a simple question: is possible to save one VM in running state?
I would know what is the better method to make backup’s of virtual machine KVM based (running obviously).
For each VM I have to save its virtual disk’s and the file xml that define the VM.

Could you send me link or tutorial?

Apologies, during my fiddle with Thunderbird forgot to make sure all the html was turned off. Silly mistake and should have spotted it sooner, but think the mail has got through now.
