i keep getting the feeling that i’m supposed to install nagios on a free server. what would happen if i installed it on a server that alreday had several websites running on it? would that be ok? and then, would i be able to monitor the server that nagios is on and two other servrers concurrently?
Well, you can install Nagios on a Linux box even if there’s already an Apache and several website running. And monitoring the Nagios server and as many server as you want.
great thanks! also, i know this might not be the right forum for this, but does anybody know if this is possible as well with groundwork monitor? i read that it has it’s own apache instance or something?
