Hi, I use check_nrpe to check disk on a remote machine. It works fine.

But I also wanna check for example if bind9 is up and running. And if it isn’t, I’d like with nrpe to restart bind9.

I’ve been googling for this about 1-2 hours without any luck at all. Anyone here has one example of how to restart something with nrpe if it’s down on the remote host?
I did this 1+ year ago with some friends, but my memory isn’t that good. hehe.

I guess you’d need to write an event handler script on the nagios server that uses nrpe to call a script on the remote server to restart that service, should it be the case that the check is hard/down.
