I have been working with nagios since last two months…i have installed nagios many times. But I found that check_snmp is not installed when I install the plugin of nagios. is this fault of my computer or i have to install check_snmp separately. I have been using lastest stable version of nagios (i.e nagios 1.3) and nagios plugin (i.e nagios-plugin-1.4) so please help me how do i get this plugin so that I can use it to maintain the bandwidth.
before installing the plugins net-snmp needs to be installed on the machine. If you have this check_snmp should be compiled normally.

When you compile the plugins, pay attention to the output during your ./configure. It must have complained about “missing something”.
