ERROR: General time-out (Alarm signal) on SNMP checks!

Hi!
I get ERROR: General time-out (Alarm signal) when doing several SNMP checks on numerous servers.
The weird thing is that it is no pattern on which servers that are failing. I try to force a recheck but no recheck is happening… I can see that last check happened many hours ago (over eight hours ago).

Some checks are failing and others are not.
As I can see all are windows servers.

So, how do I troubleshoot? Where do I start?
I did a /usr/local/nagios/bin/nagios -v /usr/local/nagios/etc/nagios.cfg but all was good.

Try running a couple of checks by hand and see what happens in terms of timing.

Try also stoppping nagios, wait 30 secs, run ‘ps -ef | grep nagios’, kill any survivng nagios processes, start nagios.
