the question doesn’t make much sense… nagios is a montioring tool… why should it read an XML file? for doing what?
I mean right now i am using nagios in passive mode, a third party software is populating the .cmd file that nagios reads. I want to know if i can configure nagios to read a xml file, in the same way as it reads .cmd file. thanks
I don’t think nagios can read a different cme file format natively (what do the docs say?), playing around with the source code it’s most probably possible, but i wouldn’t recommend it as any update would need to be recompiled with the diffs played in…
