GSM modem question... please help!

Hi all,

Im wanting to set up Nagios SMS alerting via a GSM modem, but I want to use the GSM modem to browse the internet from another machine at the same time… is this possible?

if its not possible, can Nagios detect that the modem was in use and the message failed and keep resending?!

hope that makes sense and there’s someone out there with the knowledge/experience to help.
