Help for NSCA configure

#1

Hello everybody !
I’m installing the NSCA on my Nagios Server. I installed the following packages:
mhash-x.x.x.tgz , libmcrypt-x.x.x.tgz. But when I try to configure the client nsca-x.x.tgz ,
I have get the following error:

** Could not run libmcrypt test program, checking why…
*** The test program failed to compile or link. See the file config.log for the
*** exact error that occured. This usually means LIBMCRYPT was incorrectly installed
*** or that you have moved LIBMCRYPT since it was installed. In the latter case, you
*** may want to edit the libmcrypt-config script: /usr/local/bin/libmcrypt-config

MCRYPT LIBRARY (libmcrypt) COULD NOT BE LOCATED…
The mcrypt library could not be located on your system. This
means that you will NOT be able to use any crypto algorithms
in the NSCA client or daemon.

I already put the path in ld.so.conf and in my envirmonet but it isn’t work !! :frowning:
Again, can I use the NSCA client rpm 2.6 with my server Nagios 3.0 ??
Thanks in advance !!
Max

try installing nsca from using this guide nagios.sourceforge.net/download/ … _Setup.pdf

for the file /etc/ld.so.conf
add the line /usr/local/lib
