How and where to create a separate template for monitoring

Hi ,

For monitoring 30 machines i want to create a separate template (for hosts,services).Can you people guide me in this and help me out .

Actually i didn’t find the hosts.cfg file … that’s why i asked that question .
can i create my own .cfg file called “myhosts.cfg” in /usr/local/nagios/etc/ and add it in nagios.cfg file

Sure you can. Did you run “make install-config” ? that should have created soma example config files.
