I recently installed Icinga on test box and set up the new web interface. The new web interface is still pulling the old configuration - hosts, services, etc. The defaults that were in place when it was installed. I have since added a couple hundred checks from a backed up configuration. How and where is the configuration directory and file for Icinga set?
dpends on how you install but basically it’s the old nagios.cfg renamed to icinga.cfg… i have acccess to a single icinga install which i haven’0t done but there it’s /etc/icinga/icinga.cfg on a standard config i’d expect it to be in /usr/local/icinga/etc/icinga.cfg
IO know it’s been some time… but I just got to installing a new icinga system.
The new web interface requires icinga with IDO2DB to be installed at least int he new versions (1.5.0 - 1.5.2)
so when you modify the standard icinga config in the files, the ido2db sends the data to the DB, and the icinga web interface pulls them from there.
If yuou make changes and can’t see them on the web2.0 interface your ido2db probably hasn’t the corrrect write permissions
